It is with great regret that I have to announce the death of Dame Grand Commander Daphne Rosalinde Wyke (pictured, right) on 25th January this year.
Daphne was born in 1921 and had a distinguished career as the United Nation’s Ambassador for Children. In that capacity she travelled the world and was on friendly terms with many Heads of States. She became a Dame of the Order in 2001 and served for many years as a member of Grand Council and a Trustee of the Foundation. When she asked to go onto the inactive list I made her Dame Grand Commander Emeritus.

Her husband predeceased her. She is survived by two daughters.

She will be greatly missed.
